This is the brand-new heritage train that has been getting a lot of attention over the past few weeks. The HQ train running between Hue and Phong Nha brings many new experiences, with much more than just comfortable leather armchairs for the four-hour-and-forty-minute journey. There is even a dedicated carriage offering traditional costume rentals, tailored Western suits, massage chairs, and, for the first time, a movie theater on a regular train service in Vietnam. On this trip, I also got to try plenty of local specialties—not just bún bò, but also salted coffee, sesame candy, and especially dried cactus, cactus jelly, cactus juice, and cactus mooncakes. Around the same time, a new transportation link connecting Quang Tri and Khanh Hoa was also officially launched. It’s a new air route between Dong Hoi and Cam Ranh, which I’ll also be experiencing in this vlog. Two new rail and air connections linking Quang Tri with other destinations, all in one vlog. So, join me and follow along on this very special journey!
