In this Grain to Glass episode at Wheatlow Brewery, we brew a New Zealand IPA in a very different way — using a recipe created 100% by AI 🍺🤖

This beer, 1K IPA, was brewed as a surprise collaboration with The Spencer Arms YouTube channel to celebrate Speno reaching 1,000 subscribers. Speno originally asked AI to design his “perfect beer”, and in this video we take that AI-generated recipe and brew it for real — from mash-in to fermentation, dry hopping, packaging, and finally tasting.

The result is a 6.5% New Zealand IPA, packed with expressive hop character from Motueka, Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin, delivering flavours of gooseberry, lime, tropical fruit and a subtle bonfire-toffee malt backbone. The malt bill includes extra pale, light Munich, medium crystal and a careful touch of Carafa Special II to achieve a deep blood-orange colour without harsh roast character.
