Laland is a comedy duo formed in a comedy club at Sophia University. They continued working as freelancers and in 2021 established their own agency, Lemon Jam Co., Ltd., with Saya serving as president and Nishida as a full-time employee.
Saya is the vocalist for the band Raisan, which includes Enon Kawatani and others. Nishida has been writing novels, and both authors are active in a wide range of fields. Last July, they released their short story collections "Clumsy" and "Just For You" from KADOKAWA.
