Damn we really had it good when this show was on Peacock

Dear Matthew — no idea if you or anyone on the team actually reads these comments, but I hope somebody does.

I’ve been riding with you since the ESPN days. I heard the Miles Austin call. I heard Darren Waller. I heard Michael Vick. I’ve been there for the great calls and the absolutely terrible ones 😂. Every single year before my drafts, yours are the rankings I pull up. I’m 37 now and I’ve been playing fantasy since I was 18, so we’re talking about a pretty ridiculous amount of my life here.

At this point, I honestly feel like you owe me some sort of pension 😂. My wife knows who you are without actually knowing who you are. My kids know your voice because your shows have been playing in the background of our house for years. I’ve watched you long enough that I can tell when you come in with freshly dyed hair, which is probably a sign that BOTH of us have been doing this too long 😂.

So please understand that everything below comes from somebody who genuinely loves your work and wants this new show to succeed.

But man… what the fuck is happening with the transition to Roku?

I’m legitimately confused.

First, the accessibility is brutal. I’m a tech-savvy guy and even I find Roku unnecessarily difficult to navigate for this. For years I could pull up the full show on YouTube, throw it on while working, making dinner, putting the kids down, whatever, and watch/listen to the entire thing.

Now I’m hunting around trying to figure out where the full show is, YouTube gets a 30–40 minute segment and another shorter clip, and apparently I need Discord just to participate in the chat.

Why are we making it HARDER for longtime fans to consume the show?

If this is a Roku contractual restriction, fine — I’d genuinely love somebody to explain that. But if it isn’t, PLEASE put the full episodes on YouTube after the live show ends. Roku can have the live window or whatever the arrangement is, but let the rest of us watch the entire show afterward. I don’t understand why that isn’t happening.

Second — and I say this respectfully because I understand it’s a brand-new show and chemistry takes time — the new crew needs time to learn the world they just walked into.

There were moments where it genuinely seemed like the co-hosts weren’t familiar with Happy Hour terminology, recurring bits, expressions, etc. that longtime viewers immediately recognize. That was surprising. If you’re joining a show with years of history and an established audience, I’d expect everyone to have watched enough previous episodes to understand the language and rhythm of the show before going live.

The male co-host reminds me a little of Jay Croucher — smart, polished, clearly knows football. I’m willing to give him plenty of time. Wardrobe department might need to get involved 😂, but I like him.

And the female co-host seems incredibly nice, so this isn’t meant personally whatsoever, but right now that middle/narrator role isn’t clicking yet. You’ve historically had people around you who were really good at keeping the train on the tracks, setting you up, transitioning topics and letting your personality be your personality. That chemistry is a huge part of what made the previous shows work.

Again — IT’S EARLY. I understand that. Give everyone time to find their rhythm.

But please, please fix the accessibility.

I’m a husband, dad, coach, and working professional trying to do about 47 things every day 😂. Fantasy football is supposed to be the stupid fun thing I can throw on in the background while living my life. I shouldn’t need three apps, Discord, a Roku treasure map and a fucking IT certification to watch Matthew Berry talk about waiver-wire running backs.

I’m still here. I’m still watching. I’m still rooting for you guys. I want the show to succeed.

If a producer/editor/social person happens to read this novel, please pass one thing along:

GIVE US THE FULL SHOWS ON YOUTUBE.

Sorry for the ridiculously long comment. Nothing but love from a longtime fan. I genuinely want nothing but success for Matthew and everyone involved.

God bless you guys — and here’s to another 20 years of Matthew occasionally ruining my fantasy team. 😂

This has become a hard watch. You cannot have this cast as the flagship analysis program for Fantasy life.

9:42 there’s no way they just let George Clittle slide like that

She said George Clittle.

I can’t find the show to rewatch on Roku Channel and can’t find the app on my iphone

Your other cohost are severely missed

9:39 when Beadle the Beaver says she loves George Klittle

Beadle jumping all over Friends not being funny while spending the whole show desperately trying to get a laugh and interrupting every 5 seconds is rather ironic.

Downloaded Roku to watch the show and I hate navigating the app it doesn’t seem user friendly. I wanted to watch the show from start to finish but I couldn’t watch the beginning for some reason.

9:41 Clittle 😂😂😂

I miss Jay croucher

This show isn’t bad at all especially when the chemistry starts ramping up, just don’t like how it’s harder to find Berrys rankings on fantasylife, it only shows me halfppr rankings but everything else is locked? What am I missing. How do I find his rankings

This show should be on the hate list. Why couldn’t you just keep what was such a good thing going? The real Happy Hour was my favorite show and I miss it so much. This is liquid garbage.

George Clittle…a new classic

I picked up a rehabbing Tyreek Hill and stashed him on my bench in the hopes he will make a decent comeback soon this season.  I hope I didn't make a big mistake.

I feel like I took a time machine to all the way to 1993 lol

They’ll work it out. Take it easy. We said the same thing with Jay and Connor and now everyone misses them… it’s Mathew Berry, let him cook. He will get it figured out.

My complaint is I want more data, spread sheets, and alpha. Not enough alpha.

People have contracts y'all lol

Beadle is a seasoned host and obviously has a relationship with Berry so I have no doubt on them continuing to improve

The other new dude doesn't really add much right now. Kinda feel like anyone from Fantasy Life would fill his spot but availability is the issue with the Sirius show running in tandem

It will get better lol
