Jenna Collins of Talladega, Alabama, shares her story of addiction, loss, trauma, and redemption. After a childhood marked by tragedy and struggles with feeling different, Jenna began using drugs as a teenager, eventually progressing from marijuana and Spice to heroin and methamphetamine. Her addiction led to overdoses, homelessness, incarceration, the loss of custody of her children, and choices she says she never imagined she would make. At her lowest point, living in the woods and pregnant with her third child, Jenna reached a breaking point and asked God for help. In 2018, she entered treatment and eventually found lasting recovery through a long-term residential program, where she learned how to live sober, rebuild her life, make amends, and become the mother she wanted to be. Today, Jenna is married, owns her own home, works helping women in recovery, and has experienced the restoration of relationships she once believed were lost forever—including having her daughter return to live with her in 2025. Her story is a powerful reminder that addiction does not have to be the end of someone's story, and that even when hope seems impossible, recovery and a new life can still be found.
