Imagine the face of the Giant Yhorm when a dragon comes to him on NG10 and one-shots him with one spell without using Storm Blade.

niko with that health and 5 estus in profaned capital is rough

Ah yes the good ol Storm Ruler from Demon Souls mechanic. It was truly epic to fight alongside Sigeward with the Storm Rulers. But always making sure to keep Yhorm targeted on me so he can deal the finishing blow. A toast to this fellow man of jolly cooperation.

Rykard was a more improved version of a gimmick fight, but having Siegward join you and having it tied to his lore will always put it above Rykard imo

I like that Yhorm's design takes after the DS2 giants more than the DS1 giants.

That 1rst one was tragic

These days I just give up on the storm ruler, takes too long to charge, I just let Siegboy do damage while I constantly shank Yhorms leg to keep him distracted. Best way to ensure onion survive the fight.

"Yhorm, old friend.."
I remember in 2018 I used to do no armor challenge to complete DS3 until highest NG+ damage output possible (Which around NG+9 I think), and not once I would miss his quest..

They let Siegward die...

Mori's gameplay was PHYSICALLY PAINFUL to watch.

No-Storm Yhorm is unironically a really fun fight. If you deal enough damage to his right hand and/or head, you can get a stagger and riposte to deal a lot of damage - not Storm Ruler level damage, of course, but enough to make it a fair fight. It turns a one-time gimmick fight into a genuine challenge, one you might have to plan your whole route around. It really spices up a third or fourth playthrough of DS3.

You’ve got Calli and Luna swapped in the timecodes, btw

@grfrjiglstan 1 year ago

Shame she died, because Cali was accidentally doing a really great job of distracting Yhorm from hitting Siegward in the first fight.

I forgot how frustrating watching Cali "play" can be

こういう奴らってホント仕事でやってるだけだから察しや読み込みでストーリーの盛り上がりや攻略を用意してるフロムゲーとマジで相性悪いよな

Hey Luna can you speak English

@Dracos210 1 year ago

So glad i actually play on keyboard and mouse, took me 1 second to equip sword lol can't imagine pain to equip it mid fight with controller(Calli did it fast though)

@GoldLight73 1 year ago

Yeah, I’ll just say it: this was a really clunky and dumb gimmick fight. Unless you’ve played Demon’s Souls, figuring out what to do is just not intuitive.
