I don't believe in life vests either.
They didn't work on the Titanic.

If you could attach two of these temporarily side by side ,you would really have something!! 😮😊😊

This makes sense for people who don’t have tow rigs for bass boats

If I were 60 years younger, I'd be all over this setup. One thing I really liked was that front motor mount plate and need to find out how to get my hands on one of those. Excellent presentation!

This would be great for toting along the Indian River and dropping in to get past the mangroves and docks.
Looks like it could be perfect for "on the way home from work" quick stops.

I’m gonna just wait about a year and buy one used for half the price including all the bells and whistles! 😅 🤷🏻‍♂️

IOm pretty happy loading my 10.5 foot 106 powered by MinnKota Old Town kayak into my dodge Caravan without a trailer and with the hatch closed.. Would be way m0re stable that that....but I do think it;s a cool light weight option. Good to see how much you like it and good to see how electric outboards and trolling motors are improving, Good for all of us. The seat in my Kayak is a big plus. Way comfortable

I used to have a basstender. Similar to this , 11-4 long but had a wider beam and a tri hull. Unbeleivablely stable with 2 men. Had all of the stowage like this but with normal pedestal seats. To bad they don't make them anymore

I had a Bass Hound 10.2 that was awesome for fishing ponds lakes and rivers. Bought it from Sam's Club several years ago. It had 5 speed forward 3 speed reverse trolling motor. Lights,livewell,fishfinder, 2 seats,rod and drink holders and storage.

I was in Texas/early 80's when I bought a little rig like this. It was called a "Buster Boat". I believe it was one of the first boats made like this. The design compared to this one was primitive. I got it because I had prime access the Trinity, a small lake, and Benbrook Lake. I put a 2HP Suzuki on it, and an old trolling motor someone gave me. My young lab and a cooler made a great day!

8:14 most def mobility is what popped out to me . I wouldn’t bring two folks seeing as I’m a giant but for solo missions this is sick

Down in the southern US, they had boats, called "Tatterchip boats!"
Sorta like this, with a wide stable hull, plenty of deck to walk on and space for 'stuff.' Not vary long, or very heavy.
But after seeing it once, on a fishing or outdoors TV show, I've never been able to find them again.

One more test I'd like to see: One of my concern with kayaks is their tendency to turn turtle.
It's not bad enough that you get wet, BUT every dang thing you tucked away is now in the water and most of it sinks - fast. And we all know the gear we've collected is worth somewhere close to the boat we're riding.
The stowage on this Lite boat looks good but, please, do a Dump Test to see how good the stock boat is, Thanks

I love that it can work with those wheels! It's a wild little boat.

Pretty sick little boat if you're looking for a hard boat with more comfort than a kayak and the potential to bring a friend and throw on a gas motor. I'd rather use an inflatable cat but that's more or less a lifestyle choice because I travel around for water. If I lived near the water and wanted a quick fishing boat, I'd look at this thing.

@HookedOnAngling 2 years ago

This looks amazing. Can’t wait to see how you kit it out.

@catchavibefishin3168 3 years ago

14:49 this thing is perfect for what I need . Some don’t have storage for a full size bass boat for one and second reason . I don’t have to be sitting in a kayak . Would much rather use this than a kayak any day of the week

@Augie13 3 years ago

It's a great idea for some people. There are places where you can't use a motor and where waters are 1 foot deep. You also have to be careful if there are weeds. I wouldn't say it's a kayak killer. It's just another type of boat to use for fishing.
We have a pair of Native Slayer 12.5 and they live on a trailer. It's all on what you want. Nothing is going to kill a fishing kayak.

These are not new by any means. We had a Sportiac" back in the 60
s a small plastic tender that could handle a small outboard. Oars of course and came with a set of lee boards and a small but workable gaff rigged sail. My family used that boat until the 80's so versatile. I remember my older brother made a small frame mounted on skateboard wheels and sailed the boat down the street and back. now that's versatile
