Subtractive light primaries makes a lot of sense, seeing as they live in the same dimension as Necrozma, who is mostly in a state of deep black crystalines

In my headcannon the "ultra" dimension has 4 starters with the type square of Poison > Fairy > Dark > Psychic. Just makes sense considering there's only two stages of evolution, and to make it more different.

That being said, your RGB --> CMYK link is awesome.

Tying up loose ends has got to be one of the most satisfying things ever.

I love how each of these starter's shiny forms come back to the theme of secondary light colors, with Naganadel becoming yellow, Glasage becoming magenta and Shockorb becoming cyan.

What I find so interesting about the three is that two you made are humanoid looking whereas Naganadel is a beasts like the two are some heroes fighting a monstrous beast for justice

Having the zodiacs just function like "mythical" pokemon could be neat - they might not have any MAJOR story influence, but they exist and can be grabbed.

I have always wondered about what a Pokémon game set in Ultraspace would be like. Thank you for making this video

7:59 I AM SO IN LOVE WITH HIM
As an ultra beast fan i can assure you, you nailed the feeling they have ! They actually reel like a trio

The only thing I could think about during this whole video was “Peach likes pink, and Princess Daisy likes PoiPol”

Ultra space is such a cool concept and I feel like it was kind of underused. I really hope they revisit this concept sometime in the future.

Electric/Fairy is a type combo that I think should happen more

I find it funny how dragon is weak to fairy but (in a way) it’s the opposite now, kind of helps it fit the vibe of Ultra Beasts being a weird parallel universe Pokémon. Also really like the designs you made for the other Ultra Beast starters, fits the vibe too and very uniquely creative.

I feel like the ice starter could have gained the Flying type instead of Fighting. That way each starter's initial type would matter equally by being super effective against another starter's secondary type: Ice beats Dragon, Poison beats Fairy, and Electric beats Flying. The snowflake concept is beautiful though!

i would’ve gone with ice/flying, that way each pokémon’s primary type would be super effective against the others secondary type

great video! really creative thought process here

Ultra beast starters is such a fun idea. Imagine a pokemon game where you have to catch an Ultra Beast to use as a starter

I love the idea of this type triangle. A trio that have no abnormal interractions.

godamn, this is where the yugioh spright monsters got the inspiration from.

Red, Blue, Yellow were misunderstood as primary colors. At the time when that theory was created, under the yellowed light of gas lamps, Red, Blue, Yellow looked like primary colors. But now that we have full spectrum indoor lights, Magenta, Cyan, Yellow are closer to true pigment primaries.

Now a days, people who talk about color theory tend to agree that CMYK is closer to true primaries than RBY.

So many of us have been mislead.😱🎨🖌

Ice/Flying would've been better to make the primary type good against the other Pokémon's secondary type each time.
