Seems like all cults are formed simply so some loser can get horizontal.

I'm a nurse and in the beginning of nursing school we had to learn about the history of nursing and medicine. The horror stories (very similar to the ones you told) we were told still haunt me. I'm beyond thankful for modern medicine. I ain't built like that.

It's astounding that people STILL fall for this stuff. I had never heard of this cult. Thanks for a great video.

A total psychopath. He loved the control he had over other people. It fed his belief in his superiority

As someone who was in a cult from childhood until my 20's I know exactly the mentality of these kinds of people. Its very sad

We had a dog who was terrified of thunder and fireworks. I started acting like the loud noises were the best thing I'd ever heard. I'd jump up and down and be desperate to get outside and play in the rain. Really overexaggerating my love of storms and fireworks. It took about a year of doing that every time something like that happened, and my dog got to where it was his favourite thing too. He would go outside and insist on playing catch the splashes in his kiddy pool and would run back and forth trying to figure out how to catch the thunder. He even started loving the vacuum.

Love the fact that you will let your fur baby lay in your lap when he is frightened while you are filming. That is super sweet!!

What a fascinating and horrifying story. Sadly these 'cults' are still going strong all over the world. I also want to thank you for not using AI to create or narrate your story. I will continue to watch your channel and look forward to more stories. You are fantastic!

This cult is said to be the basis of the novel "The Woman in White " by Wilkie Collins, a Victorian novelist.

Hi summer, I have a small tip for your dog. My mother in law's dog freaks out when there is a storm. He shakes and whines.Either put a small t-shirt on him just fasten it tightly, I take the access material and tie it at his back with a rubber band or you van use a bandage., wind it round is tummy loop it around is shoulder and neck and hind legs. That's a bit complicated so ty google it. But it really works. It calms the dog down alot but he'll still want to be around you or if he has a bed put it somewhere he feels safe like under a desk or in a corner far away from a windows. My cat is also afraid but she just climbs into a clothes cupboard and wiggles herself into the clothes to meka herself a little nest.

The way Smyth-Pigott stepped in as leader sounds EXACTLY like David Miscavige taking over when Hubbard died. Oh sorry, I mean ‘dropped his body’ 🙄

Until 6 years ago I lived few minutes from the church. It was known by people in the area that there was a dark past to the church. But not all the stuff you uncovered.
