Inshore fishing is a sport where you can easily enjoy lure fishing from a boat in shallow areas near the shore.
In search of large spring bigfin reef squid, shore angler Masataka Yukawa and offshore angler Jun Tomitokoro team up to try their hand at boat-casting egging around Kamiminato in Munakata, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Yukawa uses a Sefia XR S79ML for shore egging, while Tomitokoro chooses the S74ML-S/C, a casting model from the Sefia XR Tip Egging series, a rod for boat egging. Since the water depth is shallow, up to 10m, they use Sefia Clinch series eging jigs designed for shore egging.
How will these two, who specialize in both shore and offshore fishing, tackle inshore fishing, a middle ground between the two? Watch as they explore a wide area using a drifting jig, leaving it to the wind and tide, to reel in large-sized bigfin reef squid.
