In all of this no one seems to talk on the caribbeans who were rasta or afro centric and proud of their African heritage.

2000 - 2011 was a warzone in london anyone who was a teenager is this 11 year span will vouch. African vs Caribbean  was a thing but the postcode war dominated.

Divided Caribbeans and Africans, where?

STOP IT!

Anyone saying the divide started now...is too young  to have an informed opinion.

Thanks for watching and reacting to the documentary.

It put Peckham on the map beforehand we only knew Peckham for “only fools and horses” a tv show.

It didnt divide africans and carribeans until all this talk now, all 26 years later. All this in Black History Month. Kmt

What divide? Im from Peckham born and raised and that was in every area with the Jamaicans bullying Africans...it started in our family homes hearing our parents and grandparents cussing africans.....it was passed down. If there was a divide it was around 30 years before Dami's murder in the 1970's and 1980's. There were African Peckham boys who were just as bad as the Jamaican Peckham boys in the 1990's and the 2000's, they were all in the same gang so there was no specific divide that happened due to Dami's death. This is propoganda

This happened in Peckham which at the time the black population was transitioning from majority Caribbean to African so probably around 50/50 by then. This had nothing to do with African vs Caribbeans nor did it fuel it. The guys who did it rolled with and had olders who were Africans, mainly Nigerians like Peckham today, it's mixed. Taylor was a target because he wasn't on badness but refused what ever they wanted from him. He just migrated here so knew no better and back then everyone would get tested outside it wasn't between GMs like today, it was a green light on everyone.

African vs Caribbean has always mostly been just telling jokes/mocking or immigrant parents saying not to hang around the other group. The only instances of violence, I believe in Woolrich was between Somalis vs West, Central Africans & Caribbeans funny enough which goes against African vs Caribbean. Even recently there was Somalis vs Congolese in some part of North

Such a horrifying death remember discovering this case very scary and sad

I remember the 2018 documentary came out I was only 10 and I was so scared. never hit me how sad this case really was until today. rip damilola

There's a Channel Koley Speaks and some of the Africans that go on her podcast are almost having trauma porn with their issues and how so many lie about being African
I grew up in East London and lots of Africans have children with Caribbeans

The sad irony is they were just bad little kids and they actually thought if you give someone a leg stab they’ll live (we all used to be told the same it was like a warning shot) but there’s a major artery there, if they actually went school they’d of found that out like we did.

Heartbreaking 💔 😢 🙏

Kids still getting robbed for theirs phones we are just older so we don’t see it

Rah that tells you the law in the UK was even worse back then 😭

I remember in the 90s and 2000s Africans calling us Jamos

The system failed Damilola Taylor. The Preddie brothers had a history of violent offending, gang involvement and serious allegations against them from such a young age. Their upbringing and parental supervision should have been questioned much earlier. While poverty and growing up in a rough area played a part, plenty of children grew up in similar circumstances without becoming violent offenders.

Honestly, I think the parents, carers and authorities who allowed these boys to slip through the cracks should also be held accountable. There should have been stronger safeguarding and rehabilitation long before it reached the point where an innocent child lost his life.

8.08 so John did not back Demalola? We were brought up we back out friends and family regardless of the age of person and how big they are
I put a boy 2 years older than me in hospital, my year we had a rockers with the 1 and 2 years above us, but Caribbeans always fought back against racism etc I don't think Nigerians understood that at all

Foo foo man 😂
