Very informative but my god this is such a hard listen due to the cruelty of the Japanese. Videos like this need to be taught more as such a horrid tragedy should never be forgotten ❤️

Thank you Iris Chang for everything you did to research and publish this subject. I was and still are very saddened when I learned that you died, in the circumstances in which it happened. I hope present and future academics who research gruesome subjects will have some sort of mental care safety service available to them, because scientific research of dangerous material stuff has good safety regulations to protect the wellbeing of the researchers. But it is apparently unnoticed that there exist equally dangerous stuff in historical (written) material, even not occurring from individual sources but become mentally dangerous when combined or connected with other sources. I think AI could provide a kind of ‘airbag’ safety to researchers who are researching down potentially dangerous roads, AI being the guardian of the mental health of the researcher. Interpreting History bears the possible risk of producing psychological dangerous effects to the brain in the present time that may cumulate into life threatening situations. This may have happened to Iris Chan, leading or contributing to her saddening untimely demise. Hopefully the science community learns from this tragedy and adapts to this danger. In the most respectful remembrance of Iris Chang…
I want to throw up listening to this. I am only 1/4 done the book and I want to stop reading so much but I also know I must continue reading. I’m going to take a break tn and will continue tomorrow 🤢 (2:18:34)
Not a well balance account of the atrocity in my opinion. She relies very heavily on the book Japanese Imperial Conspiracy by David Bergamini who went from one extreme to another on the country he knew so well.
So sad for us losing Iris Chang and the circumstances have clearly never investigated further, if only she had a friend of the Candace Owens calibre, regardless she's one brave and inspiring lady to me and so many others. #LoveandLight 🇬🇧✝️🇺🇸📚
Whilst there were atrocities committed by Allied forces such as New Zealanders murdering German wounded in their hospital beds and the large scale rape by Soviet troops of German women, the scale of Axis atrocities were on a massively greater scale.
