Everyone! PLEASE READ! - make sure you are buying the correct Yitrox upscaler, as of the time of this comment the one most everyone needs is sold out, which is the one with only the Yellow, Red, and White RCA jack. If you buy the one with Green, Blue, Red and then a Red & White there is a high chance it is not going to work. Hope that helps.

You can check the Yitrox store here to see if is is available: https://amzn.to/43jQajJ

I've had a Hauppauge pcie tuner card for the last 10 years that also has composite and svideo inputs. I feel like this is the easiest and most direct way to import analog video...

I used an old Digital 8 camcorder and connected the vhs player to the input and got great digital avi files out from the dvi connector.

I was lucky to find a VHS player that's still in a very good condition just a few days ago. I am planning to convert some of our old tapes, so I was looking for info on how to. That's how I found your channel, and now I have a better understanding as to the requirements, and the costs involved if I expect to get the highest quality, so thank you for sharing these tips and tutorials. Very very informative and helpful !

A TBC is useful to connect between the vcr and upscaler it will fix errors such as discoloration.

I'm using a RetroTINK-4K and it works really great. Amazing upscaling. It's expensive but totally worth every dollar.

The AV2HDMI and the RasFox are probably the exact same circuit board inside. This is quite common with these Chinese conversion products including the audio converters. Some factory makes the circuit board and various other vendors buy it and either silkscreen the enclosure or have it made.
