My neighbor just gave me a Dixon ZTR 30 that’s been sitting in her garage for about 6 months since the last time it was started (she also left gas in it). Absolutely nothing happens when I turn the key - no clicking or anything. I’ve replaced the battery, solenoid, and spark plug. Then I drained as much fuel as I could, replaced the fuel filter, and put about half of a gallon of fresh gas in it. I also cleaned the carburetor and then checked all of the wiring and made sure it was in good shape. Could it be a bad key switch? Could one of the six safety switches be bad? Could it be a bad fuel pump? That’s pretty much all I have left to try that I can think of.
I have the same one. Right now it won’t start. Just put in a new battery and it still doesn’t turn over but now it just clicks like the starter is engaging but not turning over. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
