A man returns to his childhood village in Cornwall after receiving a concerning letter from his cousin . His return triggers a memory of his youth, when he snuck out early one morning and had a frightening encounter with a strange, monstrous creature in the woods . Years later, it appears the creature has returned and is now stalking his cousin's farm, leading to a confrontation as the past comes back to haunt them ....
One of the more creepy tales from the series, well directed to conjure up a chilling atmosphere.

There was a certain kind of bleak desolation to the early and mid 1980s that had its own spookiness. A lot of the early Crimewatch reconstructions had that same spookiness.

What an oddly satisfying series this is turning out to be?! Something between M. R. James, 'Tales of the Unexpected' and the old 'Supernatural'-series… thanks! :)
