How to get a Mastercraftsman to help you with a project: 1: Capture them and tie them up. 2: Do a really poor job at the craft you want done. 3: Ask politely for help...even after tying them up. 4: If they refuse. Show off your "skills" before them. 5: They will get all pissed and go all beast mode. Do the work and hopefully teach you something as well. 6: Profit.
My dad, being a craftsman and engineer himself, was particularly attached to this character.
Nothing is more alluring than a job done well... and nothing is more irritating than a job done poorly. I guess in every trade, in every era, craftsmen are really not all that different.
for those who dont get how astoundingly awesome this is: Kaseki had never even HEARD of glass before. And figured out- on his own- how to work the stuff correctly by simply watching Senku and Chrome's failures. THAT folks is why he is a true MASTER craftsman.
Dr. Stone is bar none one of the best educational shows I have ever seen. Not only does it have a great story and interesting cast of characters, but it's also very informative, even if the science is dumbed down a bit.
I love human nature in this anime. The old man KNOWS he's being manipulated, but being a devoted craftsman he cannot stand watching amateurs butcher his line of work with some never before seen material. Dr Stone is an anime that anyone can watch and enjoy.
Fun fact if you do something wrong in front of someone who knows how to do it the reaction is always the same "here damn it I'll show you how it's done"
Kaseki is an absolute super genius, the only thing he's ever worked with his entire life was wood, stone and leather and in this moment he immediately becomes a proficient glass blower.
A true craftman can't look a work that was done incorrect. Yes, it provokes them to show you how it should be done correct. Its like a chef that teaches you how to use a knife correctly because you use a spoon while cutting a fish🤣
