This track includes one of the heaviest bars that Em has ever made. So with the statement that JID outrapped Em, just shows us how delusional some people are nowadays! It actually sounds like a Gen-Z statement to me. Either they don't care about bars, or they simply just hate on Em.
This is btw, the best track on the whole album. After hearing Em's verse, I literally forgot that JID was on the track.
JID vrs is amazing… but EM is on another Planet. Might be the best rap verse period when it comes to lyrics, word play, and flow… and shots was fired! damn 🔥
People who say JID out-rapped Em are people who don't have a true appreciation for what rap is. Your take is dead on. People are so thirsty to pick a side that they immediately look at this as a competition. JID did exactly what Em wanted him to do on this track: bring a smooth flow, musicality, and digestible rap that would balance out his technicality and at least keep up with the lyrics. He absolutely did that and KILLED it (I would say he's the best feature to ever be on an Em track tbh). Em's pen is on another level though, I fully see this feature (and Tobey) as Em being an OG and trying to elevate young artists he's recognizing, not challenging himself or trying to compete.
My brotha! I've been around for a minute, watched a ton of reactions etc. and I've recently stumbled upon your Eminem reaction. Let me tell you, sir, YOU are by far THE best bar breakdown I've ever come across to date! I m recommending you to everyone I know. Chur
I loved the reaction ✊
