Bowser Jr is gonna flat out kill someone, and Bowser’s just gonna be off to the side crying “That’s my boy!”

I completely agree with Wickedbinge. As much as I love reform villains, irredeemable villains are a lot more interesting because they teach kids and adults that not everyone is a good person. So yes, we need more irredeemable villains in animated movies and cartoons.

Truly irredeemable villains should make a comeback! I think a truly irredeemable villain is Hopper from Pixar's A Bug's Life. He was kind of like Bowser in a way, only without the need to marry someone. He forced the ants into servitude as food suppliers, tried to commit mass genocide when they decided to rebel, killed 3 of his own grasshoppers just to make a point to the rest of his army and even at one point told his own brother Molt that if it wasn't for their deceased mother's wish, he would've killed him if he wanted to! That's a whole new level of evil right there! He got what he deserved in the end!

I'm guessing the approach to Bowser's relationship with Bowser Jr is that they can be unhinged together. Perhaps Jr does it out of love for his father, but Bowser continues to do it for the love of the game and likes anyone who can help him with that.

I couldn't agree more. Recent Disney films has less purely evil villains and only has less of that or sympathetic redeemable ones which were too many for my liking, especially since one of the things that Disney is good for is having the majority of villains remain bad in the end upon defeat from Snow White to Tangled. Hopefully after Zootopia 2, the company would continue to showcase more purely evil villains like before, original and sequel alike. Same goes to Pixar and other companies. TV shows can't be the exception all the time.

I'm absolutely excited for the Super Mario Galaxy movie.

There is a case for the purely evil villains: they are just so fun to watch. Redeemable villains are best used as special treats; Darth Vader, Jinx from Teen Titans, arguably Harvey Dent.

But the best villains are the ones who know what they are and refuse to change for the better: Hans Landa, The Joker and Scarecrow, The High Evolutionary, Emperor Palpatine, Thulsa Doom.

When I think of Irredeemab villains, i think about the Lich

We absolutely do need more irredeemable villains
Having every villain be "just misunderstood" evokes the idea that some people say Hitler was "just misunderstood." Like yes, he probably was misunderstood, but that doesn't justify committing mass genocide.

One thing I like about unapologetic evil villains besides their charisma and ego is that they are usually the most proactive free agents of the setting. While sympathetic villains and anti heroes react to some injustice done to them EVIL villains are the ones spreading the injustice because they have a goal damn it and they’ll pull every dirty trick to get it.

I can't thank you enough for making this video, because I 100% agree with you guys.
We need more irredeemable villains in animation, not just in movies but in cartoons and in games as well.

I agree we need more Irredeemably Evil Villains especially Disney's I miss them.

I honestly agree with most of everything that was said in this video.

I think introducing Bowser Junior, someone whom Bower actually cares for, could give Bowser a small human side without making him sympathetic. I mean, he spoils Bowser Junior rotten, which is inherently toxic for a parent to do for their kids, and he actively uses his own son to aid in his tyrannical rule. He does love his son, but that doesn't entirely make him a good father.

I honestly would be interested, not in the Mario Galaxy movie, but in some future Mario movie featuring a team up between Mario and Bowser, but not because Bowser is turning good or reflecting, it's just because he wants to take down another threat and that it's made clear the whole time that he's doing this purely for selfish reasons, unlike Mario doing good for selfless reasons.

A good example of a irredimable evil villain is Yomi Hellsmile from master dedective archives: rain code. This guy is what would happen if police brutality was given human form.

I'd absolutely include Vox from Hazbin Hotel in there. the guy brainwashes several sinners on a daily basis, forced Angel Dust to be an unwilling spy for him, murdered several innocent people as a human, and last but not least, admitted he was totally fine with half of Pentagram City being destroyed if it meant getting rid of Alastor, who by the way, simply called the guy out on how pathetic he is, which sparked a 70 year feud between them. talk. about. petty.

7:55 King Candy- Am I a joke to you?

King Candy/Turbo is still a fantastic villain imo despite having elements of both a “fun, pure evil” villain and a “twist” villain. Mostly because the twist surrounding him is more to do with his identity being Turbo, a character who’s backstory we hear earlier in the movie, than trying to pose as a good person only to pull the rug on the audience later on that he’s actually the villain. He’s still antagonistic throughout the movie in how he allows Vanellope to be bullied by the other racers for being a “glitch” and manipulating Ralph into destroying the kart they created while genuinely bonding and becoming friends. Yeah, King Candy presents the latter as if Ralph was “helping” her by telling him that they would be ensuring she survives as if she raced, the game would appear to be broken and it would risk the game being unplugged and Vanellope wouldn’t be able to leave due to being a glitch, but we very quickly learn later that he was lying when we see the girl in question in the art of the arcade cabinet.

King Candy works because he’s antagonistic despite his eccentric, goofy presentation, and the twist surrounding him makes him far worse (in a good way), turning him into a villain who only cares about being the center of attention and being willing to gleefully stomp out anyone and everyone who gets in the way of his goals.

Not only is Jack Horner is irredeemable, but the voice acting is hilarious! All thanks to John Mulaney!

Zurg is one of the most irredeemable villains. In Lightyear, he tried going back in time to stop himself from hitting the mountain and crashing the ship on T'Kani Prime so he could continue the mission of returning to Earth; however, when Buzz warned Zurg that using the crystal will wipe out the entire timeline, he just didn't care. The only thing that he ever cared about was finishing the mission
