Gene Hoglan, as much respect as he gets, is still underrated. Dude is an absolute beast and has a resume a mile long! Long live the Atomic Clock

Gene becomes the best drummer on earth each time he picks up his drumsticks.

He looks like a middle brother to Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul.

This man sure as hell knows how to tune a snare drum

Gene has more talent in his pinky than most drummers have in their entire body.

I would also like to quickly add that Gene Hoglan played on Fear Factory's Mechanize album. His playing on that is insane.

Almost every clip in this video, Gene's snare sounds fucking mint.

Gene is the Vince Carter of metal... he's been part of like 30% of the best metal band of all time!!!

I always thought that the best drummers have played with Death. Even Bill Andrews is pretty underrated.

He officially dethroned Animal from The Muppets.

Long story short: You better be "Best Drummer" material if you're going to play in all the massive bands in this list

Gene Hoglan and David Lombardo are two of the best and most talented metal drummers period

Gene Hoglan is easily one of the top 3 greatest drummers working right now! His speed, precision, and technical abilities are amazing and he’s always a blast to watch live. What always surprises me about his style is how he lets his feet, arms and really his wrists do all the work. He’s able to play technical stuff for long periods without getting tired by never flaying is upper body all over the place like some drummers. I also like how he doesn’t sacrifice the groove to a song by playing super technical just for the sack of playing technical. Gene Hoglan is definitely my favorite drummer and I’m so happy he continues to play with Testament! The last 3 Testament albums are amazing and Gene is a big part of that reason!🤘🏻
