thanks Ray, Im about to take my family canoeing again tomorrow, and this is just what they need to know.  A bit above the basics they currently do, but not so advanced that they dont understand it.  Let Maya know my daughter was very encouraged to see her demonstrating.

Picking up a canoe on Saturday (former kayaker) and will be trying out these strokes as soon as I can.

Thank you Ray for another master class! With all your introduction of these single blade stroke techniques in your book and YouTube channel, I also find them perfectly suitable to manoeuvre my sea kayak using a Greenland storm paddle. I started to use one side of the paddle to canoe my sea kayak this way and reinforce all the canoe muscle memories. Recently been to a narrow river creek with families on their inflatable. I can use these canoe turning strokes nicely to navigate the bushes and tree trunks:)

Super video Ray. Clear and informative as ever. Really well explained - on the land, hand positions, body positions and movements etc then a water demo. Also the what not to dos are equally as important. Not rushed through the skills either. Plenty of time to digest the info. Also great you have excellent paddlers in

This early November I had fallen in with my buddy, making an attempt at the draw stroke. not so fun here in Canada! lol
