Earthlings have never had contact with aliens, and there are no signs of life on other planets! This is the only scientific opinion on all matters of UFOs, aliens among us, and so on.
But why do we so readily believe almost any vague UFO video and stories of flights with little green men? How does pseudoscience so quickly find its adherents? Why do people with a high school education and even those who have flown on airplanes begin to believe the Earth is flat?
Today, in the #GUEST_IN_STUDIO program, we found out with Dmitry Vibe, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor at the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Head of the Department of Stellar Physics and Evolution at the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. We also discussed how the climate on Mars and Venus has changed and under what conditions life might emerge there.
And if you also want to recharge your batteries with fresh scientific knowledge about space and the evolution of the universe, come to Dmitry Vibe's lecture, which will take place on February 8 at the Yeltsin Center. Admission is free, registration required.
