Welcome back to Backroads and Campfires! In this camping vlog, we take the backroads deep into the backcountry for an unbelievable Vancouver Island camping trip at a riverside spot we’ve wanted to visit for a very long time. This turned into one of our best adventures yet! 🌊🌲

The main highlight of this camping adventure was taking the drone up to capture an epic, spectacular cascading waterfall with crystal-clear blue-green pools right near our camp. To make it even better, our campsite was tucked directly beside an ancient old-growth tree grove filled with massive Cedar and Douglas Fir trees.

The wilderness gave us some unbelievable wild encounters too—from hearing distant elk calling through the trees and having a giant toad visit our campfire, to the most unexpected moment of all when a tiny kitten randomly showed up at our campsite out of nowhere!
