The only reason as to why the manager backdown is because she does not want them fighting the agency which would result in her getting fired.

Still hard to believe the friend’s account was the idol all along! Pretty sneaky, but if it helped her win him over, all the best

This moment blurs the line between Rui and Emi. He sees them not through the lens of admiration, but through the lens of human connection. That intimacy—just being acknowledged as a person—leaves him humbled and exhilarated.

All she had to do was say "so, you're trying to pressure and emotionally blackmail me to stay with the company as an idol, including bringing 'bodyguards' to intimidate me. Sounds like a Black Company, to me. I wonder what everyone would think if I posted this on social-media?"
And boom, her axxhole manager would fold like a tower of wet paper cards.
Even if they somehow legally managed to stop her after she'd posted or made the announcement, it'd be too late: The genie would be out of the bottle, and their agency's reputation would be damaged.
All it takes is a rumour from a credible source (her), and that agency would go into full crisis mode.

Walking out of the party at night, When Rui felt something strange not just starstruck but grounded. Meeting them in unexpected way that reminded him that behind every screen presence is real with hopes, nerves and need of connection just like the rest of it

The Mom be Guilt Tripping him.😂

since they're next to each other, I'd like to think the manager was Gori's plus one on the invitation.

10:15 dude you came out of nowhere like a low level random encounter in a video game

that manager was annoying emy doesnt womt be a idol is her choice her manager doesnt choose for her🙄

5:14 manipulation at its best.

And next thing you know the manager and Gori got married 😂

our the good old "I did not want you to waste you talent" accuse. more its the "we still want to milk your talent for all the money we can make" that manager did not give two craps about her or the fans

Once again the voice actors did an incredible job giving these characters personalities and helped bring this story to life. Miss Brittany covering the female characters with her impressive skills. Follow skyybunnie 👍

Now all of a sudden, Gori went from being a delinquent to being a fan of idols. Quite a change for the big guy.

Otakuda should have his own series

Post conclusion Sub plot, Gori started working for the talent agency as a bodyguard and eventually starts dating the manager character.

6:50 Otaku... I mean, Otakuda is here. But... No teasing scene... DANG IT! Still waiting for it! 😤

11:55 Looks like our takoyaki lover Ran is also here as well. She and Otakuda are hosting speed-dating party.

Otakuda is in every universe, he created everyone and everything.

15:24 - "Officially, we're saying it was due to illness, and the agency has no intention of letting her retire."
Well, that could mean one of two things - either she has remaining time left on her contract which can be broken with a specified financial penalty, or you are claiming Emi as your agency's slave. Since the first is out of your control if Emi can pay the financial penalty, that means that the second is your actual position. However, slavery including indentured servitude is illegal in Japan, so it is quite risky for you to openly proclaim yourself as involved in major criminal activity ...

15:41 - "As a fan, you wouldn't want to ruin her career, would you?"
Silly question, and almost as manipulative as my mother! I am a fan, of course, but also a friend. As a fan, I would not want to do anything which would ruin the career she has chosen, but as a friend, I cannot force her to remain in a career which she has chosen to leave*. It was *her choice to leave, not mine - and even as a friend, I never suggested such a thing. The choice is hers, and hers alone - and both as a fan and as a friend, I support her decisions regarding her life. On the other hand, I'm not the one who is enslaving a human being. I'm not the one who stole her phone and impersonated her in order to manipulate and browbeat her friend. And I'm not the one who is trying to ruin her life for the money I can make off of her talent. So quit with the manipulative crap-talk. Even if she does decide to continue her idol career, Emi deserves better management than you.

15:55 - "It's my job to make sure she sees it that way."
And with that statement, you just lost.

19:08 - "I only wanted you to keep going because I didn't want to waste your talent as an idol. It's not that I don't want you to be happy."
Liar - what you really mean is that you don't want to lose all the money her talent as an idol brings in to your agency, regardless of the personal cost to Emi. You have clearly made no real attempt to understand or know Emi the person - your whole concern has been *Emi the cash cow*, or you would have known about her growing feelings for Rui, and her growing need for the personal connection which is denied idols. You would have been looking for ways to meet Emi's personal needs while still maintaining a positive career path for Emi - whose career path had to change soon anyways due to age. Simply put, you placed agency profits over Emi's well-being, which led you to become callous and inhuman - you are an utter failure as a symbiotic manager, and a success only as a leech.

6:54  Is this his first time appearing in this art style? I have seen a few of the older videos with the same artstyle but I've never seen Goatakuda in any of them yet.
