Everyone from NY in the 90s used to say the N word from many races and cultures. I don’t think the generation actually understood what it meant either.
Can’t frontttttt trump was hip hop a long time ago!!!!! Till he became president! Lets not pretend like every rapper in the game didnt mention him in the 99 and 2000 lol
im puerto rican and white. grew up in the projects in the 90s. we were all niggas. that shit just meant homie. we were all in the shit together. people nowadays are such losers they need to search for shit to get sad about.
I think there is a lack of education about the slave trade and race vs ethnicity vs nationality. Only about 10% of slaves made it to the US. The rest were brought to the Caribbean and Brazil. Latinos from the islands, PR , DR, Cuba… are of mixed race. We are descendants of west African slaves, Spanish colonizers and Indigenous ppl. So yes we are part black. Some more than others. I just think the N word shouldn’t be used at all by anybody.
He be around nobody but black people and nobody said anything really until now after what like 3 decades into his career? It should’ve been addressed back then by the people around him and the audience who consumed his music who he catered to
The real question isn't should he be allowed to say it. It's why does he want to say it?
You don't have to use the n-word to communicate or be accepted. Being black is an experience that past a certain shade we cant walk away from. That's the advantage of not being black.
A person can absorb the culture, slang, etc. for an advantage then drop it when it's convenient.
