Fluting using the Stanley No.45 is very easy once you know how. I'll show you how I set the plane up and run a flute in just a few minutes. Keep watching to see me demonstrate how to apply multiple flutes, on for example a leg or casing.

Wonderful plane, thank you! IMHO, you should start at the end and work your way backward. It makes cutting a lot easier 😉

Just looking at Stanley 45 in an old tool store this morning. Will need to put a away some more beans in the piggy bank to get it. Nice work, the lamb's tongue was a nice touch to chamfered sides.
