In this video, we break down Catherine’s appearance at the Tom Cruise premiere in Leicester Square, where the Princess of Wales attracted massive attention alongside Prince William, Tom Cruise, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

From Catherine’s red-carpet entrance and Jenny Packham gown to the moments with Tom Cruise that quickly spread across social media, the evening became a major talking point across royal and entertainment coverage.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle was reportedly photographed at a Cotswolds pub with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. This video examines the contrasting media reaction to those images and why the two appearances generated such different levels of attention.

Was this simply two unrelated public appearances, or did the reaction reveal something bigger about Catherine and Meghan’s very different positions in the public spotlight?

Watch the full video for the complete breakdown.

I was never a big fan of Tom Cruise but when he was very vocal and supportive of Prince William and Princess Catherine when Catherine was fighting chemotherapy, I changed my mind. While other celebrities, journalists, and social media were making horrible comments on line and in the news about why Catherine was absent, Tom stood against the negative and positively supported the Wales. Kudos to Tom. Catherine was stunning in purple looking absolutely gorgeous. The gentleman all looked handsome in their tuxedos. Sir Beckham, Tom Cruise, the wonderful Prince and Princess what a night. 💜 Eat your heart out Meghan and Harry. This is how it’s done.

Prince William and Princess Catherine were absolute perfection with how they're dressed and how they presented themselves. I have tremendous respect for this couple.

Look how those around her, are smiling and caught in the same lovely moment. It’s not beauty alone, it’s grace, dignity and a genuine interest in others.

Love it. William and Catherine steals the spotlight on someone else's day. Those other two cant even do it on the days they create themselves. Well done Beckham for being with the good couple

If Mrs Todger gets humiliated it's because she has humiliated herself, she is always doing that. She shows how rude, and how she just ignores protocol and believes she is the most important person around.

No one forgot about her … no one cares 😂

Meghan has never in her life been, or will ever be, a goddess like Princess Catherine.
