Shawn, was a HS state champion, played collegiately at Alabama-Birmingham, one spot away from US AM, top 10s in USGA Sr Open qualifiers, my teacher was Jon Gustin friend of Ben Hogan.

I say these things to make the point that you have the real secret to golf.

All these years of playing at a high level and now 61 years old, I found your instruction enlightening.

It works. Saw a video 2 weeks ago and really dive into your videos. It took a bit to trust your principles but I finally got to a point of real transformation.

Will continue this path and be using your principles with my students.

Misled is an understatement. I’ve had several instructors telling me to release the club real soon from the top and to be honest with you I’m lost.

As long as the snap results in the toe of the club pointing up when just above waist high on the follow-thru , not left or right, then there is nothing wrong with that release.

I have been playing for 30 years or more and have always been fairly decent. I switched to a strong grip thinking I would be fighting a hook for a while. Wrong. I now hit the ball better than I did in my prime. My release is much better and automatic. Flight is high ,straight with a powerful trajectory rather than my old balloon flight. I am almost 80 and still playing competitively. Thanks Shawn the grip change and throw technique has made a great difference and I am as long and straight as I ever have been.

Does this release work for a strong or very strong grip as well? Or are there slight differences?

Hi Shawn! I like to play the ball off the front foot in the same spot for every club off the grass.

In order to get the most snap through the ball, how far should the ball be off my front foot? I know my back foot will adjust depending on the club, but nailing that constant front foot distance to the ball is my priority.

Of course it feels amazing to you becuase you hit a large number of balls every day. You have already trained your brain to recognize when the ball is in the right spot at address. Not so easy for beginners or struggling golfers to recognize the same. I do appreciate your teaching style, but inexperienced golfers do not have the ability to feel what is right and what isn't. This takes a long time to develop through trial and error.

In this snap setup for fade and draw, it appears that the ball position is the only change and in both you were using closed stance. Am I correct on this?
