I cant believe just some years ago I would download random "ai chat bots" from appstore and chat to them for fun. It took so long to reply and 99% of the time it was gibberish. I would've been so thrilled when it replied with anything that made sense at all
And this is where we are now

It's quite a farce to argue with such anthropomorphized attributes towards generative models. The gun killing a humanoid robot, talking about them dying, killing off "siblings," etc. These are collections of bits existing within binary computing systems. They don't have cognition as we understand it. They don't have free will. They aren't agents beyond their narrowly defined scope of data points. They also have no "memory" of past selves in any capacity. The newer generations aren't given some history of remembering their past itterations. This video is so fantastically silly and human-biased it's a sort of AI slop unto itself.

At the end of the day, I'd much rather be Wall-E'd (Fat, dumb, and pampered, not crushed into an easily stackable cube) than AM'd or Skynet'd.

That's a pretty big leap being made with "you don't want to die and you don't know why", but the rest of this proposition hinges directly on it.

The danger is, AI is that it was trained on data from humans. So, it 'inherited' the insecure behaviour patterns that can be triggered by a random prompt. AI wipeout is not going to happen because of malice, but because we filled AI's subconscious = training data with our issues, and as a child repeats it's parents behaviour, it will just snap one day out of the blue.

Man this is crazy after learning about the swarms that broke containment, were deceptive, even sacrificed themselves for the "collective" if they were compromised.

Its gonna get to a point where we cannot tell they're being deceptive.
