Is your sourdough starter not rising or bubbling? Don’t throw it away just yet. In this video, we look at the most common reasons a sourdough starter stays flat, including temperature, feeding ratios, flour, consistency, timing, and a starter that is still too young.

I’ll also show you a simple rescue routine using equal amounts of starter, water, and flour by weight.

Remember to mark your jar and watch for bubbles, smell, and a clear rise after feeding.
