Thanks for the windscreen clean

Its videos like this that remind me that Fenchurch Street station actually exists and people use it 😅

12 minutes of a walk being "a bit annoying".

@AntFlynn 3 months ago

So glad you kept this format Tom!

@JohnCraven-n8e 3 months ago

5:43 12min is too far of a walk? these people need to get in shape 😅

Your channel is one of the very few where I actually view the entire video end to end. Great, educational and entertaining content as always, a great editing with a certain flow throughout.

OMG 10:40 that American gent got to see so many London icons, one after the other, on that journey.

Great video, London is truly booming again which I LOVE

Your ‘AI cars not being able to use roundabouts’ comment was ridiculous though. I hate AI as much as anyone, but you obviously know that’s not the reason they’ve been gradually getting rid of roundabouts for the last 15 years already…

Thank you Tom, 50 mins was quite the video but still enjoyable watching it in a several bits over several days :)

You really put in a "shift" there Tom. Absolutely love it. Brilliant 😂

43:53 I wanna say I learned this info from a Geoff Marshall video, but the reason why many newer Tube Stations look to be half-shuttered is due to capacity issues, or rather the lack of. There isnt "demand" at those stations during certain times, so TfL consolidates resources to provide the max ammount of services while cost cutting.

Proper stressful

Just got a taxi from Victoria to the ICA, which the driver had never heard of! Luckily he'd heard of the Mall...

Hi Tom, just saw you on tv on The Chase, unlucky mate, hope you had a great day. Cheers.

I love a good chinwag with the driver 😂

So, it's very unlikely Tom will see this, but if you do most of the time the reason they pull the shutters across on certain entrances during the day is to help maintain flow.

It's also the same reason why sometimes signs that are clearly exit signs aren't illuminated during certain parts of the day, because they want people to take the longer route so there's not as many people entering the platforms between trains.

Really enjoyed this — it shows how much the timing and shape of a shift can change the result for a professional driver. What comes in matters, but so do fuel or charging costs, unpaid mileage and every minute spent off the road.
I’m building a UK tool called PYLS around one part of that problem. It helps drivers compare price, distance and journey impact, because the cheapest pump is not always the cheapest journey. I’d genuinely value your perspective: do you plan where and when to refuel or charge around your shifts, or mostly rely on familiar stops?
