Unter Männern gilt es nicht als Statusverlust (jedenfalls nicht mehr wirklich heute), wenn man Schwielen vorzeigen kann, welche die Arbeit hinter deinen Muskeln bezeugen können. Aber welche Frau ist stolz auf die körperlichen Anzeichen ihrer Arbeit für ihre Familie?
Dies ist leider eine Folge unserer modernen Realität. Wenn eine Frau einfach ihre zahlreichen Kinder vorhalten könnte, um als beneidenswert wahrgenommen zu werden, dann wäre die Debatte eine andere, aber der Wettbewerb spielt sich auf der Ebene der Frau und ihrem Partner ab. "Ich bin so schön und mein Partner ist so begehrenswert, weil wir uns auf ein traditionelles Konzept einigen." Aber die Frage sollte eigentlich sein: "Würdet ihr auch noch so harmonieren, wenn ihr nicht mehr so schön und begehrenswert seid?" Der Kitsch muss weg.
