He was struck by BLACK LIGHTNING and left for dead in a slum alley — nobody expected a nameless orphan to wake up wielding the FORGOTTEN sword technique of the Empire's own Founding King.
This manhwa recap follows Vlad, a street kid from the back alleys of Sara who claws his way up from nothing after being struck by mysterious black lightning. Mocked as trash-blooded and powerless, he awakens Aura, becomes a squire under House Bay, and starts crushing opponents twice his rank in sword duels. When he takes down a noble heir in a duel over a lady's handkerchief and wins an ancient blade from the World Tree itself, everyone realizes his swordsmanship isn't self-taught — it's the ROYAL One-Hit Kill technique, a secret reserved only for the bloodline of kings. From slaying the Lindworm dragon in the snowy north to cutting down a corrupted beast guarding the elves' sacred tree, Vlad earns the title Dragon Slayer before he's even eighteen — all while hiding a secret that could get him executed for treason if the wrong noble ever finds out.
If you're searching for a manhwa recap about an orphan protagonist turning into an OP swordsman, a hidden royal bloodline reveal, or a dragon-slaying underdog story with real emotional stakes (found family, betrayal, revenge against the men who destroyed his home), this is exactly that arc — recapped in full so you don't have to dig through raws or wait on inconsistent translations.
