Callis was fantastic as Gaius Baltar. A genius who was vain but also fighting guilt and shame. Brilliant. He and the rest of the BSG cast did their best so there's no need for any of them to return.

Was so surprised to see Callis on SLOW HORSES last night (yea, I'm a bit behind my binging....)

Both Dirk and Richard were 33 in 1978.

Any new Battlestar I’m here for 😂 but I do feel the 2004 BSG was so perfectly tied up!

Head Six and Head Baltar are angels, more or less.  They could have a whole spin-off series set anywhere and at any time.

I agree with those who suggest doing not a reboot, but a continuation of Caprica. Another comment about what happened to Battlestar Pegasus in also intriguing. After having a massive crush on Richard Hatch when I was very young, it was fun to meet him years later. There is something about the human story of survival that was translated so well in both shows.

Yes I am all for another series, with as many of the original cast as possible.

Great video, really enjoyed hearing James and Katee talk about BSG!
Quick note from a German-speaking fan: YouTube seems to have generated an automatic German voice-over for this one, and unfortunately both the voices and the translation quality are pretty bad.
Not sure how much control creators have over that feature, but wanted to flag it in case you can disable or adjust it.
Cheers and keep these interviews coming! ... So say we all!

Katee has the right idea, if either of them were to come back in another Battlestar it would work best if they played very different characters like they did with Richard Hatch being Tom Zarek

James Callis, Can you play the Next Ba'al or a very good Stargate Villain ???

🤔 They envision participation in the manner of Richard Hatch. A worthy tribute to the actor & the franchise.

Dammit Katee. I don't have time to watch this whole thing right now...! Stop stealing my time! Love it. Thanks.

Not sure "remaking" the same series would be any better, we already have the family friendly version, and the darker more gritty version. I think if someone wanted to get into the BSG space maybe a new concept with the Pegasus and what she did after the attack. that could be an interesting series. IMO

I always felt like the whole idea of having reboots of the serious should be that they occur 20-30 years apart in real time, but 300-1500 years apart in story time.   It is not unreasonable for a space faring person to be able to live a few hundred years in sci-fi.   So I wouldn't mind if the whole set up is something happens at 300 years from the old crew, that starts a chain of events that propogates a few hundred years later for it to lead to a new migration/war..  It would be interesting to flip it around where the humans seem like the bad guys, and the Cylons are on the run from humans this time around.

I think most of the cast has the range to play new/different characters in a new show. You wouldn’t want them as the stars for the reasons Katie stated, but guest stars or reoccurring roles like Richard’s would absolutely work if the characters were different.

Have Katie play a scheming politician and James play something like an Admital Caine or something. Sometimes (as with Richard) seeing the range an actor has makes you appreciate them even more. I loved Apollo as a kid in the 80s. I appreciate Zarek far more as an adult.

I would prefer them to finish Caprica
I want to know how the Cylons became organic based creatures

Alucard❤

I’m not sure how I felt about the ending back then, probably hands in the air in exasperation but now, having rewatched a lot of it etc I like the open ends and the left guessing aspects of it. Don’t do a Star Wars and try to answer every little question that’d just wreck it.

Could do movie series... New cast  with cameos...

Katie, Does his words hit differently now that you have watched the show? (I know it is just one season)
