I jumped on the 10,000W LEKI Electric Motorcycle for a completely honest and raw first ride. No rehearsed sales pitch-just my genuine reaction to the power, handling, practicality and what it’s actually like to ride.

I enjoyed it far more than I expected, but it definitely left me with a few questions.

The whole thing to myself enjoying riding motorcycles is the noise, the smells ( 2 stroke ) the vibrations the engagement, a type of experience that only a MOTORcycle can give

A rotating mass is what is needed on electric motorcycles to replace the centrifugal forces from an ICE. Why on earth no manufacturers are doing this is beyond me... all of the low speed instability would disappear. It only needs to be a small mass that is spun up initially by the battery, and can then derive energy via the drive train to maintain rotation.

Looks good, seems like a viable option. I guess you'd get used to the rear brake on the left lever but I think I'd prefer the 'normal' foot brake. The name is definitely Aussie.

Good to see more option for electric bikes. The way it looks is not to my taste, then I don't like most modern looking sports bikes. Electric, I prefer the Savic C-Series.

Looks like an interesting option, but I find it hard to consider after buying an electric scooter in Viet Nam for $2500. Sure it's not the same thing, and was definitely built to a budget, but it has 200km range, 5kW motor, 4.3kWh battery and slow charger (5 hours). top speed is 95km/h and it has 50L of storage. Love the damn thing, and so cheap to run. Just wish I could bring it to Aus

Mm the torque of an electric motor, wheelies should be easy as. This is purely a control thing.
Good looking bike, if it corners well, I’d be keen to see how regen and brakes might help cornering performance.

having that much torque and not allowing it to be wheelie happy is a bit of a let down. IMO thats what makes electric bikes really fun. it is understandable not having that for a daily but making different modes for an electric bike is relatively easy. decent price too.

I was going to the test ride but couldn't make it, which was disappointing. They are interesting option, in that they are far cheaper than the only other equivalent electric motorcycle in Australia at the moment. As you pointed out, they may have cut some corners to get there. What was the range like? How much battery did you go through?
