In this Warhammer 40k video, I kitbash one of the most elusive heroes of the Warhammer 40k universe: Lias Issodon, Shadowmaster of the Raptors Chapter! In this video, I guide you through the complete creative process of transforming spare parts, conversions, and hobby techniques into a custom miniature worthy of leading the Raptors into battle.

Whether you’re a Raptors Chapter fan, a Warhammer 40K kitbasher, or love seeing unique Space Marine conversions, this guide will give you plenty of inspiration for your own projects.

First off, as a big Raptors fan, it’s always awesome to see my practical bois getting some well-deserved love. Secondly, the kitbash theming was spot-on, really nailing the pragmatic nature of the Chapter. But wow, that painting was absolute Chef’s Kiss and totally elevated each whole piece to the next level! Any chance you’ll be sharing a painting tutorial video?

I honestly prefer the second one, personally. I feel like sometimes the fandom flanderizes the Raptors as too tacticool and "pragmatic" and forget that they still use fancy heraldry and power weapons and gold detailing like any other Space Marine chapter, so it's nice to see a take on Issodon that still uses some classic Space Marine knightly elements

I'd love to see Tyberos, the red wake as his description is he is probably the biggest space marine that exists and had to use special Dreadnaught armor. Would love to see what you come up with !

this inspired me to make a Phobos techmarine for my raptors. Never saw any lore about one of them rocking a lighter loadout so decided to fix that haha. He turned out great and is one of my favorite models made yet.

Lukas the trickster or Hagen the mountain would be neat for us space wolf fans

When he comes out, the new Marneus Calgar converted into a Gabriel Angelos would be dope.

Ooh youtube in a Badab War Renaissance - how about bringing the Red Scorpions' Casan Sabius and Scirae Karagon across the rubicon? The forgeworld model is so beautiful - love to see you rendition of it

These Badab War character were such juicy conversion fodder. Love your takes on Lias!

Love seeing people kit bash Lias!

Very cool! Raptors have a very intersting theme.

Lovely kitbash. While the raptors have always been a chapter I despised mainly for their tactical and utilitarian nature not fitting space marines at all. This kitbash was very well done and nails the aesthetics that the Raptors have

The lighter green helmet is a very inspired choice, really like it.

Both look awesome, man! And you nailed the dusty paint job.

Also, forgetting to record stuff is way too relatable 😅 sometimes you just get in the zone!

I’d love to see more chapter masters from you. It’s such a cool concept gw needs to bring back.

@Momosagi61 1 year ago

Asterion moloch would be nice to see

@zombi3brosnanxx 1 year ago

These are so good. It's very hard to chose which one I'd prefer but I think the Phobos one fits slightly more. Thank you for kitbashing the chapter master of my favorite chapter.
Can't wait to see what's next
