Goodbye, Concrete.

Harry Renovating in France

Goodbye, concrete… hello, travertine! 🙌 After concreting the terrace last week, we’re finally laying the tiles—and getting to see how the stone terrace will come together.
This week, we’re back outside working on the next stage of the renovation. The warm travertine against the old stone walls is a combination I’ve been looking forward to seeing, and it’s exciting to watch it take shape, tile by tile.
What do you think of the travertine? Let us know in the comments 👇

Harry, it’s super important to use non-metallic grout around the railing otherwise it will rust out quickly and cause horrendous rust-orange streaks at every connection

You should attach the gutter to a rain barrel for watering your future garden.

Hello Harry, just found you through Denise from Chris and from Stephanie. Watching your vlogs from the beginning now. Love what you are doing to your property. Excited to see how your dad house comes along.

Welcome back hime. Change is a constant; new standards or lack there of, new sizes, etc. it drives me crazy so I feel your pain. The patio is looking good and it was fun to see the CAD shot of your home. Love seeing a puppy napping regardless of what’s going on around it. Keep smiling! 😎

Fantastique! You guys are going to spend so much time out on that fabulous patio. All the snags will be worth it. It looks great. I can just imagine lots of plants and flowers in pots, lanterns, etc:face-fuchsia-flower-shape:🌻

I've always enjoyed watching you work on projects! I'm thinking back to when my husband and I were first married ( second marriage and we've made it 49 yrs so far). I had all kinds of ideas and projects in mind for each house we lived in. Hubb;y did it all whether he'd done it before or not! We're 80 yrs. old now and he's still doing projects that I've casually thought about. Watching you, Harry, reminds me how much I have appreciated him all these years. Thank you for bringing back some good memories! 😄

You are absolutely adorable and so nice to listen to. I love what you have done and it’s worth the money that you have invested. Select your projects, you’re saving on labor so put it all into the material. Great Job!
