Former Nelson Mandela Bay councillor Andile Lungisa has cautioned that the internal rifts within the ANC that led to his exclusion from the party's candidate list could lead to a loss of electoral support.
These were the submissions made by Lungisa’s legal representative Advocate Dali Mpofu during Lungisa’s urgent high court application on Thursday.
Lungisa also maintains that ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula abused his powers when he unilaterally decided to exclude him from the list as the party’s constitution does not make provisions for this.
