In this powerful talk, agroclimatologist Serge Zaka reveals a very real “great replacement”: the disappearance of our trees and landscapes in the face of climate change.
Through concrete examples, he shows why our forests are vanishing silently, and why it takes courage to talk about it today. A clear-eyed call to confront ecological reality and act for the future.
Serge Zaka is an agroclimatologist, a storm chaser turned science communicator, who blends the harsh realities of climate with the art of storytelling. Since childhood, he has tracked weak climate signals and violent storms to make them visible, understandable, and useful to decision-makers and the general public alike. With his iconic hat, he transforms complex models into powerful emotions, striking images, and levers for action for agriculture, ecosystems, and our territories. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

Courage !
