Hello, dev here.

I am stumped that my little silly game that I made when I was 18, bored out of my mind in college, made such an impact on people. For me, the most surprising part is when people tell me that they grew up with this game, I can't believe it's been that long already.

Little back story about the games, they were all based on the Luna Game RPG Saga by another dev called Dierita Scarlet, which in themselves were based on the Luna Games. So we got this meta game where it's a fangame of a fangame of a fangame. One day, she took them down, but I kept archives of it, and I decided to bring them back in 3D form.

As for Dreamy Rainbow 3D, it just became too much in the end, I went overly ambitious and that ended up causing me to get a burnout. I have thought about remaking the game several times, but, with a full-time job, it's kinda difficult now.

Either way, thank you very much for the video and the support you have given me, I appreciate everything this community have given me and I am happy that I have made such an impact on your lives. :)

Hi, this is Dreamy Rainbow 3D dev, GrentoYTP.

I just watched this video, and I wanted to leave a quick update here. I’m currently working on Dreamy Rainbow 3D: Episode 4, with permission from the original creator. I had to take a break from development due to some major life changes (new home, new job, and marriage), but I never abandoned the project.
This week, I’ll be releasing the official teaser for the full version of Dreamy Rainbow 3D EP04. The game itself is coming out on July 19th, 2025. The final release will be much more polished, expanded, and playable – I’ll share more details on my own soon.

Episode 5 is also planned for later this year, along with the beginning of Flutter Island 3D (just like MrYossarian, I’m building it around the RPG saga).

Thanks so much for the interest, and I hope the final result lives up to your expectations.
Working on this game has been a fun (and sometimes frustrating) challenge – especially with all the limitations of RPG Maker MV 😅

Not sure if anyone explained but at 30:40 when you put question marks on why "the latter" was used, it was meant to refer to Celestia. The term "the latter" is often used to refer to the second mentioned thing within a sentence, the second thing being Celestia.
"Luna didn't tell anything to her sister, but the latter was worried for Luna" is saying that Celestia was worried for Luna when she didn't tell anything to her.

Also you should cover the whole series, the 2D games, especially the underrated story of how the original Luna game was uploaded to the fan site Equestria Daily without any indication it was a horror game, it looked cute and simple. And not only had a jumpscare, but froze the game requiring task manager to close, and changed the desktop wallpaper AND flooded random folders with files of the jumpscare image. many fans were traumatized and it led to much stricter checking and verification on fan games on the site from then on. The most mysterious part: it was uploaded anonymously, to this day we have no idea who made it (actually someone might've come forward on reddit) Great video Ravioli❤
