I love how you say nobody makes ties meanwhile I make a matching tie for my husband each time I sew myself a dress for any event we both go to.

“It’s basically an atrocity but something overcame me and I needed it” is my FAVORITE kind of thing. The amount of times in a store I’ve said “I can’t tell if I love this or I hate this but it compels me” and that’s how I’ve picked out all my favorite things. Friend says oooh wow look at that and I say with the proudest smile “isn’t it a little bit nasty, yeah?”

Happy stories: Im planning my 50th birthday and sewing a skirt with dinosaur fossils printed on it. I absolutely agree that adult clothes should be fun too.

When I was 9 years old my dear mother sat me down at her sewing machine and taught me how to sew. She let me sew the straight side seams on a light blue corduroy summer top and shorts. I was SO PROUD of that little outfit and began sewing all my clothes at age 12. For high school graduation I received my own sewing machine on which I sewed everything, including clothes for my 3 children and still to this day, I use it all the time and I’m 69 years young! I fully understand and appreciate your joy of creating! Glad the algorithm showed me your channel💜😎

My happy story: this past weekend I went on a scrapbooking retreat with my grandmother. I got to eat lots of yummy food and be creative non stop for 3 days while my husband kept the show running, the show being our 3 kids. 😊

carly i'm going to be very honest but you made me OBSESSED with the idea of learning how to sew clothes! i've been into stuff like crochet and embroidery for years but sewing clothes always seemed like something really far projected and complicated, but seeing you make stuff that is so specific made to your liking is really inspiring!

This tuesday i went to my boyfriend's grandparents with him and his mom for lunch and to spend the afternoon, we've been together two years. His grandma made us a whole casserole to take home, and she made me my own one in a separate dish without onions because she remembered I don’t like onions... she does this everytime we come to eat and her recipe calls for onions, i love this woman

Printers use to print even if their ink was empty, but I’m pretty sure corporations realized if they “helped us” but telling us our ink was low and not allowing us to print anymore, they could make more money. Because trust me, I used to use my ink until the text was so light you weren’t sure it was even there.
