I've very recently just been searching the Internet for the best hand fighting videos you always make these at the perfect times🥳. Always seem to be reading my mind
Thanks for the breakdown boss. I’ve got 2 seasons left of wrestling, and it’s about to be my 3rd season. I’ve progressed very slowly but I feel like I’m just starting to be more consistent and you’ve definitely been very helpful on my way there. For this season one of my top focuses is getting a better hand fighting game, so I don’t feel like I’m just standing grabbing arms for no reason. I’ve been working arm drags and I feel they will be very helpful when used in combination with my fireman’s carry and slide by which I’ve also been developing.l
I'm a jiu jitsu purple belt completely self taught regarding wrestling and judo, and I just want to say thank you for all of your work. Your channel was the first wrestling related that I subscribed to years ago when I began learning how to wrestle. Admittedly being in my 30s and not being able to train as often as I did in my 20s due to work etc my gas tank is not what it once was. That said, I'll definitely re-asses my attacks after viewing this video, as I'm pretty sure leg attacks account for something like 80-90% of what I'm currently doing. Going to be fun working some of this 2 on 1 and slideby action in the gym to get it closer to 50/50. Thanks for the perspective
Great video as always. Question for the community: So I recently started wrestling with no other martial arts background. I really like the over under position, but my coach keeps telling me guys with a judo base will always have an advantage over me, so he keeps saying I shouldnt go for the clinch, only for leg attacks. It's kinda frustrating. Can I develop my clinch game even though I don't have a judo or Greco-Roman background?
I’m a beginner trying to learn. I thought I was gonna be better at hand fighting in 10 mins instead this guys yapping his mouth about an opinion he has
I can't even watch American folkstyle, the handfighting is horrendous and it's just spamming leg shots with no real set up aside from angles, gets boring to see. Freestyle is much more entertaining and dynamic in the handfight.
