I love how the first ranking is a screaming argument while this one is a calm, agreeing discussion

christian defending ivan alongside adrian is true filipino solidarity

The disrespect was insane

I feel like the issue with this that's gotten people riled up is that everyone's judging it based on different criteria, which I don't even think was intended in the first place. It's a loose thing, the designs are just meant to be fun and reference both properties. When you focus on type theming, you miss the details that marry Miku's lore and personality with the Pokemon's. When you focus on music theming, you miss other aspects of Miku and the Pokemon, etc. There's so much cultural background that goes into the collab that it's clearly for the superfans and to judge it with your own criteria kind of misses the point. You have to either throw the criteria away and judge purely based on the fit, or go all in with the full Miku and Pokemon knowledge.

Christian immediately thinking of Effect Veiler just proves he's a real one.

SO MANY OF Y'ALL COMPLAINED ABOUT CHRISTIAN NOT BEING IN THE LAST ONE, SO THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST AND LAST RESPONSE VIDEO TO OUR OWN VIDEO. (maybe)

Bruh, as a designer this PAINS me. The designs aren't the typings, they are just trainers who use the typing. It lines up pretty well with the design conventions of pokemon in that sense. Now yes, a lot of that will get lost for people who aren't really into pokemon, their designs and all the references. But still, the pain.
Edit- Also, I think part of it is that the design don't follow a strict format. Which is actually smart. If they just did "Make hair look like type, relate clothes to type, have a clear music pokemon" then each design would be too similar and bland. Again, the designs feel like they were treated as individuals inside of the pokemon world. They aren't going to fit a format because people don't fit formats. I personally think that having multiple designers was a smart move.
From my understanding as well, in the "story" of the collab, each Miku are their own person, some even interacting with each other. Not to mention Miku doesn't have a set vibe or personality. So going from swov mafia singer, to desert traveler, to cheerleader, actually fit with that. Miku is whoever you want her to be haha. ☺

"I want a girl that looks like that Pokémon." DID YOU KNOW....?

Justice for normal type Miku!!!!

I think it would be interesting to see what a female guest would say about these. I personally would've given a bunch of them completely different ratings just because the outfits look like something I'd want to wear myself.

Am I the only one who still likes Ground Miku bc it gives sand planet vibes?

I love how they look at rotom and say that it has nothing to do with music so its bad and then they go to normal type and say that not every pokemon has to be music based

Room is not musical... But it is an electronic entity. Like Miku herself. Similar mentality to why they gave her Farfetch'd (being because of the Leek meme)(plus the other electric pokemon they gave her was for Poison type)

Christian better do his best here, I trust his fashion advice to the max
Edit: Correction, he and Ivan opinions make sense. Good job guys ☺️

Christian looks like an Isekai MC 😂😂😂😂

1. The partner Pokémon is always either music based OR ELECTRONIC BASED because of the vocaloid software. (With the exception of fighting type for the leek)
2. THE MIKU DESIGN IS BASED OFF OF THE PARTNER POKÉMON MORE THAN JUST THE BASIC ASS TYPE. “It doesn’t look like fire” IT LOOKS LIKE SKELEDIRGE’S STYLIZED FIRE! IT’S RIGHT THERE! They picked the partner Pokémon before designing the Mikus and it shows.
3. Some things were just actually references to popular Vocaloid songs/tropes in Vocaloid songs which you guys wouldn’t get so it’s whatever.
4. Bug Miku is a choir girl because the partner Pokémon is a choir conductor. I feel like i’m going insane.

Affectionately,
Someone who has been in the Vocaloid community for over a decade ♡

yo shit when did christian become 90's japanese movie actor

Unironically their opinions are very valid since they dont know the archetype designs for pokemon trainers. Rather than clothing, the artist tried doing their own things to make each one stand out with different design consents.

Christian got that Ryuk hair!

I've never seen a man deny a Pokemon Smash or Pass while giving such strong hints that he wants to do a Smash or Pass like Christian did here
Edit: Come on bro, with the Lapras leaks we just GOTTA do it now
