I remember watching this game as a kid, it was incredible

40:54 One of the greatest lines spoken by a sports commentator

"This game is ova!" Great memories from a great team. RCJHKU!!!

18:47 "It's key for Kansas to shoot well from the perimeter..." - Billy Packer, hot take expert

Greatest single game performance in the history of college basketball.

All 4 Final Four teams that year had at least 35 wins on the season. Might not ever see that again!

“You came to Kansas to play in this game.”  After this you quote Lombardi.  Then you hit them with, “I expect this to be a big celebration in here in about two and a half hours.”  This dude is the man

I was on Mass street as a 22 year old when we won in 2022. I was 8 when this game happened. These guys are legends to me. I can name this roster from memory. I love the 08 Kansas team more than any team ever in any sport, even the 15 Royals or 19/22 Chiefs

7 legit NBA players on the KU roster

Didn't play the Carolina way that night lol INCREDIBLE RUN BY KANSAS

And here we are again in '22..

Sherron Collins, a Soph at the time was SO HUGE all Final Four.
Strong dribbling and key buckets.

Whos here after finding out these two teams will meet in the finals this year?
👇

ill never forget that score of 40-12

Kareem and Brandon Rush?  2 of the prettiest jumpshots in last 40yrs

I'm a UNC fan and I gotta say Kansas smashed us that night. Fair play to them.

I was SOOO pissed at Packer when we got up 28.
"Its over!"

I mean he was right and at worse I thought maybe Packer jinxed KU where UNC would eventually cut it to 9-13pts under 10mins in 2ndHalf.
(Even that was far fetched.)
But sure the fuck enough!
UNC made it a 2poss game with like 10mins left 2ndHalf.
KU's ability to pick themselves up and finish strong says alot.
Also Bill Self had play huge role in that too.
Any team can get hot and blow out a team. But to remain calm in this type setting? After UNC completely took momentum back?
Best KU game I've ever seen

What really stunned UNC was that Kansas front court was more physical and more athletic like Darell Arthur

Good Win Jay Hawks!💥

Kansas' Defense was LCKDOWN first 12mins of 1stHalf
