We left Paraguay after completing our legal three-month stay and experienced one of the most stressful moments of our trip! 🇵🇾🇧🇷🇦🇷
We crossed the border from Ciudad del Este into Foz do Iguaçu, known for being one of the most complex and chaotic in Latin America. Upon arriving in Brazil, we made an unintentional mistake: we spilled some water from the sink onto the street. What seemed like a minor detail provoked an extremely violent reaction from a neighbor who threatened to call the police to have us evicted, all of this made worse by the language barrier.
Seeking peace, we crossed into Puerto Iguazú in Argentina to visit the legendary Triple Frontier. After exploring the city and resting, we stayed at the Selva de Laurel Hotel, an incredible refuge in the heart of the Misiones rainforest. As we left, we highlighted a little-seen reality: the indigenous communities that live right in front of these large hotel developments.
