The reason this happens is cuz the longer a droid goes without a memory wipe, the more intelligent and sentient they become, and for some reason this makes astromechs evil, which is hilarious

It's hilarious how dave filoni only makes beeping sounds when he voices chopper, but manages to get so many emotions out of it.
