With this, i discovered that why not, instead of a distorted reverb, use a crystallizer? Crank the pitch down to -1200 cents, on 1/8 splice and delay, and full mix. Man, the texture is crazy

That noise gate trick is a gem - thank you! Congrats on reaching 50k subs brother

what dijon and he did on absolutely has no despriction other than masterpiece

one of the first mkgee videos ive seen that's actually accurate ! CRAZY GOOD

Loner: I took the chords from Every Breath You Take
Sting: I want half the earnings

you don't need a baritone guitar, his guitar is a stock American vintage Fender Jaguar...is just set up like a baritone. thicker string gauge and the usual setup to accommodate low tuning = B

5:00 he actually also uses a roland VG-8 hooked to his guitar pick ups to get a lot of those synth tones out of his guitar

6:19 play light and push it hard. With texture

when listening to his music its so hard to envision it being possible with only a computer but you make it look so easy..
please keep doing what youre doing bro, its genuinely so inspiring
ive been watching your vids for awhile now and i have to say you really nail it on the head with every artist you choose to make tutorials on.
congrats on 50k brother you truly deserve it

this is genuinely one of the best production videos if ever seen. im coming from the one shot trap rap bubble, but this widened my horizen like crazy. took prob 20 notes. thanks

the "moduler/digital drum sounds" is a Pulsar 23

One of the best videos about Mk.gee’s sound! You managed to pack so many details and ideas on a single track!! Amazing!

the range of your skill is crazy man

Real gems on here

Even the way u explained how to control/shape the dynamic range by shaping the velocity. Legit light bulb moment in my head bru.

As much as enjoy These Tutorials for his Sound, it’s still irreproducable… he is just one of a kind

I still don't even know how to put it into words it's a heavy blanketing lightly fuzzy light saber and you hit it with a dynamic ranges in the compression with flange and limits rad dude you did a good job mk is the general. when I first heard this album even though it's 4K on YouTube it's still sounded like the audio levels were off but that's what they were going for it to the dream state the inducement of love and it's withdrawal fever

This was a sick watch man thank you for showing us !
I had also watched all the Mk gee YouTubes out there
But thought that instagram live was from two albums ago  . I didn’t understand what he meant by saturated drums but you explained it well

Very informative! Great video. God bless you and all the producers trying to get better.

I just discovered Mk. And damn it's so unique and tight. Raw and nostalgic. Grateful to have this video to grapple the sonic style.

this is literally perfect<3
