Yet when Eusebius's succession lists are raised against his own ecclesiology, the tone suddenly shifts to " [Eusebius] had some strange Christological views" and "we don't just have to accept everything he said".
You cannot treat a historian as an apex source (complete with honorifics) when it helps your case, and then add qualifications when Eusebius becomes inconvenient for you.
This is textbook special pleading.
