Sure i have over 5000 hours in fallout 4 but, ill happily watch a video for noobs. 😊

Fallout 4 content in the big 2026 is what I live for

I started watching your videos yesterday, specifically the settlement building ones. They made me start a new playthrough after not touching the game for years. Very cozy videos, I love having them on.

if the next fallout game doesn't have settlement building my heart will be completely broken

Mr. Grey, I've told you before that your videos are wonderfully informative. You have not disappointed...AGAIN! LOL It's amazing, no matter how much time I spend in game, it seems there is always something else to be learned. Thank you for not giving up on a truly great game and the people who play it.

I'll always watch a Grey video, and I'm a neophyte when it comes to settlement building even after probably 3000 hours.

I DID just decide to pick up Fallout 4 again. No matter what my build is, I can't resist setting up a couple settlements. Fallout 5 will be a 5/5 if it perfects the building system. Hope they don't just abandon it because of how much people trashed on it.

Need to be careful with those rocket turrets, i think the ai they use is copilot

I just started and was so overwhelmed… Thanks for this vid!!!

Finally! I'm really glad someone posted a tutorial for a niche aspect of this relatively new and unknown game

Dear Noobs: When pressing Group Select make sure the item you use item you use to do the group select is the last item you touched.
Example: If you make doorway, then add a door (in that order) if you use the wall to group select, both it and the door will jump and be annoying AF.
If you click on/highlight the wall, then use it to group select, it'll be fine.

I could use this video. I finished the game a few months ago and have mostly just been building up settlements, with my "hobby" being setting up Slocum's Joe coffee shops, which has forced me to be creative in some locations with limited space like Covenant. My main annoyances are difficulty in recruiting settlers (even if there's enough room and resources, the beacon doesn't work most of the time) and settlers not going to all areas of some settlements (Hangman's Alley and Vault 88 in particular).

Agree with concrete being the primary building material for the reasons you include.  One of the mods gives more variety of concrete (and the others) pieces which is good.

I've been in the midst of my first-time playthrough this past month, and it's thanks to this video that it just now hit me how incredibly useful foundations will be going forward, at least once I finally bother to give a settlement that isn't Sanctuary some love.

Thank you again.  iz like an old book that i keep going back to reading, iz i forget things👍 ---- ( The "iz" is "my" mental voice talking over my solder. )

Not gonna lie , I didn't plan to watch this whole video.. but I did.. I also didn't plan to leave a comment, but after seeing you do this build step by step without any mods and without any difficult things that other guides do.. and you also did decor step by step.. man I would actually love to see a video doing a simple build at each settlement that works for that settlement as well as some decorating for it.. That is just really simple, doesn't need mods or any special techniques or anything. I want to get into base building so bad, but I can't build anything that isn't a square box. I also have no idea how to decorate them .. so I just build a square box, stuff a bunch of beds in there and place a bunch of turrets, food / water and call it quits..  but I would love to have an actual settlement, have jobs for the settlers, a nice place to hang out , a kitchen / eating area, maybe even like a place to make ammo / weapons / armor so settlers can be geared out.. man I would honestly have so much more fun with the game if i could download other peoples settlements and stuff.. I know sim settlements exists but I can't never get that to work its too hard for me.

I'm trying to get the trophy that says. Get maximum happiness in one settlement. So I need to watch this

Thank you so much. I bought FO4 years ago and never played it till now. I have skipped playing the game as is and installed Magnum Opus right off the bat.
There's so much there so this videos going to help me a lot! :D

Dude, I thank you for this guide.  I am liking your video - but most importantly, I appreciate your grasp on the use of English.  Bravo!

Ok this guy is super cozy, new sub from me!
