Just when I think I can't be more impressed with Jan's artistry, he wows me yet again.

I didn't think I'd hear anyone play this as well or better than Phil Best until I heard this today. Good for you, Jan. You actually pay attention to the repeated notes and give them their own identity when most skip over them. You don't indulge in extreme rubato swings. That takes restraint when you could play notes faster than the speed of sound. I can still remember your mother giving you the loudest most enthusiastic standing ovation after you played in Calgary. Glad to have heard you play here so often and on youtube. If every mother heard and saw the way she did that, they'd understand what it takes to encourage a child to do something extraordinary. And that you did and are doing.

Мне в целом понравилось. Некоторые фрагменты играются не как общепринято, есть пара фрагментов очень странных. Но это право живого человека на сцене. В то же время необыкновенная детальность гармонической ткани Шопена, любование каждой новой гармонией неожиданно подкупает и заставляет слушать. Удачи исполнителю!
