#38: A Monster 20lb brown trout from Lechlade

This was one of our best trips to Lechlade ever. There was not lots of bites to be had , but some giant rainbows and the biggest weighed in at 22lbs. I had 2 Double figure browns and Craig had a giant brown over 20lbs . I've made this video slightly different again showing me getting ready from the house to the accommodation , fishing , breakfast, and going to the riverside pub to watch the rugby and having our evening meal. Hope you all enjoy it , we had a brilliant weekend and a great laugh!

Thanks for replying. I'm an English guy living in Canada for the last 26 years and found you when I was looking for videos to show my buddies what trout fishing is like in the UK. I used to fish Dever Springs when Nigel Jackson (a good friend) started breeding oversize trout from Canada, to get the whole specimen trout thing going. I live in Alberta in western Canada where I fish the Bow River, one of the best trout streams in the world. I wanted to show my friends the differences between here and there, as there are no put and take fisheries here, it's nearly all catch and release, barbless hooks etc.. So we all got together for an evening watching videos fro the UK, some of which were yours. But we had to stop when some of us started to feel a little queezy with all the head movement! Anyway, thanks again for your reply, the chest mount should help!

Well, well Ryan, great to see you and your dad are doing Ok, my last visit I had 15,13, & 2 x 11lb fish and we will be back up the end of the month, look forward to seeing you both on some water, somewhere.

I reckon you must be printing your own money Martyn...£75 for a 4 fish ticket . Now I know they stock big fish....and you seem to catch many of them, but that ain't cheap!

You need to take that camera off your head!...makes me feel sick and dizzy with all the continuous movement!.....ruins what could otherwise be a decent video.
